Distese a perdita d’occhio di terreni, orizzonti infiniti, paesaggio geometrizzato dall’opera dell’uomo, connotato da superfici orizzontali ed elementi puntuali verticali distribuiti sul grande piano, alberi isolati, case isolate dalla forma archetipica, elementare, filari, piantagioni ordinate, campi seminati dove i germogli disegnano il terreno come linee di fuga.
Questa la fisionomia della pianura padano veneta.
E poi la nebbia.
Nebbia che fa parte dell’identità del luogo e spesso, nella stagione invernale, avvolge questi luoghi di silenzio, li rende indefiniti.
Eppure,isolandoli, fa risaltare gli elementi del paesaggio, ne fa emergere il carattere; aiuta la mente a compiere un procedimento di astrazione - astrazione materiale e temporale - in una sorta di sospensione i cui protagonisti sono gli elementi del paesaggio nella loro essenza, privi di ogni funzione.
Quello che conta sono le fisionomie degli spazi, l’insieme degli elementi che emergono da un’atmosfera ovattata, “pulita” da ciò che non è essenziale.
Il mezzo che permette di raggiungere l’astrazione, la nebbia, è esso stesso parte caratterizzante la pianura padana: si tratta quindi di un’astrazione fortemente radicata al luogo
E il silenzio di queste immagini, come silenziosi sono i luoghi rappresentati, è d’aiuto per cogliere l’anima degli spazi, indisturbati

Then the fog, which is part of the identity of these places and, in winter, envelops them with silence, making them undefined. What matters is the physiognomy of the spaces, the set of elements that emerge from a muffled atmosphere, clean from what is not essential. Yet, even if it partially hides, makes undefined, the fog brings out the character of this place, the elements of the landscape are exalted because they are isolated from everything, made abstracted, detached from reality, returned in their essence.
Fog leads to an abstraction strongly rooted to the place, since it’s part characterizing this land. And the silence of this images helps to capture the soul of the spaces, undisturbed.
